Curriculum
Muay Thai
Muay Thai is currently the leading martial art in combat kickboxing and is the national sport of Thailand. It is known as the “Art of 8 Limbs” due to the tools students are allowed to use: 2 Hands, 2 Legs, 2 Elbows, and 2 Knees. There is no ground work in Muay Thai, so all of the training is done while standing up and primarily focused on striking (Punching and Kicking) Muay Thai is an incredible martial art for combat sports and even better for self defense. Muay Thai is open to kids and adults!
Our instructors are dedicated to providing an authentic Muay Thai program. Our head instructor, Coach Minh, has trained in Thailand with Muay Thai world champions such as Saenchai. Muay Thai is practiced all around the world and we have designed our curriculum to follow traditional Thai methods and structure. The techniques they train in Thailand, will be the same techniques you train with us.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art based on grappling, ground fighting, and submissions. There is no punching or kicking in BJJ. Students must focus on utilizing their other tools while on the ground. (grips, leverages, body positioning, joint locks, chokes, etc) Within our curriculum you will also train techniques from other grappling sports such as Wrestling and Judo. BJJ is an incredible martial art for combat sports and even better for self defense. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is open to kids and adults!
MMA
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is a comprehensive combination of all martial arts. It takes the most efficient characteristics from different practices to essentially create an entirely new discipline. MMA allows usage of both striking and grappling techniques when standing up and on the ground. Students who are enrolled in both our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes qualify for our MMA program, as these are the top 2 leading martial arts in modern MMA. It is an incredible practice for combat sports and even better for self defense. MMA is open to kids and adults!
Our instructors are experts in their respective martial arts. They also cross train martial arts with our MMA program. Here at Prestige MMA you will have a total of 4 instructors to assist you in becoming as well rounded you can be in martial arts.
Cardio & Conditioning
Our Cardio & Conditioning classes are some of the most diverse workouts you will ever do in one setting. and it is open to all of our members! Our program is designed to increase your overall functional fitness. We don’t want you to only look and feel good, but to also move good! What’s the point of having a nice body if you don’t know how to use it? Our classes are separated into 2 major categories, Weight Lifting and MMA Fit.
Weight Lifting: This class will focus on strengthening your body with compound movements. Workouts will primarily revolve around power lifting, olympic lifting, and traditional weigh lifting for accessory muscles.
MMA Fit: This class will focus on building coordination where workouts will revolve around calisthenic and plyometric exercises. You will also be able to work on fundamental MMA skills and techniques without the full contact of our normal MMA classes.
All your fitness goals can be achieved in our Cardio & Conditioning classes whether it’s weight loss, muscle gain, or mobility!
